At Columbia Hearing Center, it’s our mission to provide personal hearing care for every client, including your patients. We’re happy to work with local physicians to create an obstacle-free referral process for our services. Ultimately, we want to provide the best solution possible for every person we work with, whether they need rapid audiometric results for their doctor, or need to be fitted for hearing aids.

Addressing Hearing Loss

Physicians and clients frequently comment that our hearing evaluations are more thorough and informative than any other they have experienced. We have two full-sized booths for conducting hearing evaluations, meaning you won’t be waiting months for your patient’s test results. Generally, we can schedule the hearing test within a week, and when time is of the essence sometimes even on the same day, meaning you and your patient can address their hearing issue immediately.

Our tests provide clear results, presented in a way that is easy for a patient to understand alongside their physician.

Minimal contact 3D ear scans

With minimal contact of the canal, ear scanning provides a full ear digital 3D image while minimizing health risks

  • No otoblock placement required, minimizing the risk of cough reflex (Arnold’s reflex).
  • No silicon injection required which reduces the chance of uncomfortable removal of ear impressions.
  • More accurate ear impressions as the viscosity of the injected silicon may change the shape of the canal and pinna while the material is setting.
  • More accurate ear impressions result in more comfortable custom fitted hearing aids.
  • 3D scanning can also be particularly useful for minimizing contact on surgical ears.

Finding the Right Fit

If the hearing test results indicate the need for assistance, we’re equipped to create the molds necessary tIf the audiometric results indicate the need for hearing aids, we’re equipped to create customized products for the unique shape of your ears. Rather than the traditional method of injecting silicone into the ear canal, we now offer minimally invasive ear scanning which creates a 3D model of the canal and pinna. Not only is this method incredibly accurate, but it is also safer than the injection method.

We are the only office in Columbia to offer ear scanning over the traditional silicone impression method. Our staff continually trains on the latest technology to ensure we offer the best quality of care to all whom come through our doors.
